Artist's Comments
I'm fortunate to live on a few acres of beautiful land in the Sierra foothills. There are wide vistas and arrangements of foliage rocks, fences, etc., prime for painting here. I invited the Yosemite Western Artists plein air group over for one of our monthly outdoor painting sessions and this is what I chose to paint. The scene will be familiar to family and friends, as it's the gate you pass through, as you leave our property.
