Artist's Comments

I actually created this painting for a watercolor demo. I needed an image of interest that could be executed fairly quickly, in front of an audience: something that would allow me to cover a range of watercolor techniques. After a couple of false starts (Still Life with Oaxaca Coyote and Serape was actually one of my first choices), with images that seemed simple at first, but ended up being too complex, I settled on this one.
