Artist's Comments
Honorable Mention in the Society of Western Artists 65th Annual Exhibition of Art. Manzanita Lake is located close to the nearby Sierra Mountain town of Northfork, CA. I painted this canvas one morning in the Summertime. I'm told by artist, Vickie Stewart, that in the early mornings of fall, winter and spring, a mist rises up from the lake. I've got to drag myself out of bed one morning this year and paint that. This was a great day, as an artist friend I've know since our days together at Chouinard, Dennis Lewis, came up from Clovis, CA to paint with us.
